Job Summary

  • This position provides strategic leadership and technical expertise for Georgia’s statewide accountability system, the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI), and related federal and state accountability requirements.
  • The Director of Accountability works collaboratively with districts, other GaDOE offices, state leadership, and external partners to ensure accountability data are accurate, meaningful, accessible, and useful in improving student outcomes.
  • This is a remote/telework position based in downtown Atlanta with some statewide and out-of-state travel required.

Key Requirements

  • Master’s degree in education administration or related field preferred
  • Five or more years of experience in K-12 education or accountability roles
  • Strong understanding of state and federal accountability requirements
  • Experience leading teams and managing complex projects
  • Bachelor's degree with six years managerial experience or equivalent
  • Compliance with federal work authorization (E-Verify)
