The Hospice Chaplain works as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team providing spiritual, emotional, and bereavement care to support hospice patients, clients, and families in both facilities and home settings.
The Chaplain facilitates spiritual care, supports staff emotionally, organizes memorial services, and collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.

Must-have
Provide pastoral and spiritual care
Conduct spiritual assessments and care plans
Document visits using EMR system
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team
Support patients and families in-home and facilities
Organize memorial services
Provide emotional support to staff
Nice-to-have
Excellent communication and pastoral skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Strong interpersonal skills with diverse populations
Educate staff on religious needs and issues
Maintain communication with inter-faith clergy
Contribute to positive well-being of clients and staff
Key Requirements
Master’s of Divinity Degree or equivalent
At least four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
Board Certification or eligibility through ACPE or CPSP
Minimum two years pastoral experience in healthcare
Hospice experience desirable
Certification or eligibility for certification through CPSP or ACPE
