Job Summary

  • The Surgical Specialties unit provides post-operative care for multiple disciplines including general surgery, urology, GYN, plastic surgery, vascular, ENT, orthopaedics, pelvic medicine, and post trauma care.
  • Staff is trained to provide skilled nursing care of chest tubes, multiple drains, VACs, colostomies, ileostomies and complex wound care.
  • The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for a group of population specific patients, from simple to complex, with multi-system issues in a safe and therapeutic environment.
