The Surgical Specialties unit provides post-operative care for multiple disciplines including general surgery, urology, GYN, plastic surgery, vascular, ENT, orthopaedics, pelvic medicine, and post trauma care.
Staff is trained to provide skilled nursing care of chest tubes, multiple drains, VACs, colostomies, ileostomies and complex wound care.
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for a group of population specific patients, from simple to complex, with multi-system issues in a safe and therapeutic environment.
