Job Summary
The Martins Lab in the Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences is seeking a part-time research support staff member to assist with laboratory research focused on avian viruses, diagnostics, pathogenesis, and vaccine development.
Responsibilities include supporting laboratory activities in classical and molecular virology, such as cell culture, embryonated chicken eggs, virus inoculation, virus neutralization, ELISA, nucleic acid purification, and PCR.
Additional duties include maintaining and cleaning laboratory equipment, performing decontamination procedures, preparing and sterilizing materials and media, organizing supplies, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.
