The Health Care Aide provides personal care and performs selected tasks under the direction of their supervisor while adhering to regulatory and Extendicare's standards, policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include adhering to the plan of care, assisting residents with personal care and hygiene, observing and reporting changes in condition, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Key Requirements
Graduate of Health Care Aide program
Minimum 500 hours theory & practicum (Ontario & Alberta)
Experience working with seniors
Strong written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
Strong interpersonal and customer focus skills
Demonstrated sound skills in providing personal care
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification recommended
Ability to perform lifting/transferring clients
Provide Vulnerable Sector Check (within six months)
