We use the term bioresources in the UK to cover the solids extracted from wastewater treatment both untreated (sewage sludge), and after further treatment and stabilisation (biosolids), however, across the world we use the term to cover recovery of a wider range of organic resources from resource-rich solid, gaseous and liquid outputs created by the water sector and adjacent sectors, industry and from similar treatment processes.
