  • Trainees receive hands-on training including safety rules, job hazard assessments, crash response, traffic control, first aid, and CDL training.

Base: $3,952/month starting; increases to $4,124/month after six months; Transportation Maintenance Specialist 2 position $4,312 to $5,988/month after program completion; Benefits: health, sick leave, paid holidays, retirement

Key Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED between Jan 1, 2023 and July 1, 2026
  • Ability to obtain Class A commercial learner permit within 60 days of hire
  • Must be 18 years old with one year driving experience by Sept 1, 2026
  • Valid Oregon driver license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to obtain CDL-A with tanker endorsement and no restrictions within six months
  • Maximum 45 minute response time to Salem, OR location
  • Pre-employment driving record and FMCSA checks
