Job Summary

  • Reports to the Nurse Manager but daily activities are coordinated by the charge nurse, working with patient and family centered care teams to ensure all business functions related to processing patient information, managing documentation, organizing patient medical records, and facilitating smooth unit operations.
  • Key responsibilities include bed management, proficient utilization of various computer applications, unit-specific projects, communication facilitation, serving as a unit-based resource, acting as a greeter, maintaining hospital records and logs, acting as a unit resource for supplies and staffing, and initiating emergency procedures.
  • Previous clerical and customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, is required, along with computer literacy and good interpersonal skills.
