Job Summary

  • The primary purpose of this job position is to assist in the administering of medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the attending physician, the nurse supervisor or charge nurse, and the Director of Nursing Services.
  • Essential duties include accurately and safely preparing, administering, and documenting oral and/or topical medications, verifying resident identity, and reporting any errors or reactions promptly.
  • The role requires participation in quality assurance programs, maintaining resident confidentiality, and cooperating with facility surveys and inter-departmental personnel.
