Leidos UK is seeking an Environmental Scientist to support NASA's Environmental Assurance Branch at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The role involves ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations related to petroleum, oil, and lubricants storage and management, requiring specialized knowledge and experience

Job Summary

  • As a key member of the NEMCON, you will play a valuable part in supporting the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Environmental Assurance Branch (EAB) at KSC to ensure compliance with petroleum, oils and lubricants (POL) storage and management subject to Federal Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) regulations.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for SPCC and state of Florida (Florida) regulated storage tanks regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain the KSC SPCC Site Specific Plan Database, which is utilized to manage regulated POL storage activity at KSC and produce site-specific SPCC plans with input from the KSC contractor community.
