Job Summary
The Security Officer I is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, staff, and property at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
Role duties include conducting regular patrols, monitoring surveillance systems, responding to emergencies, and acting as a first responder to incidents such as medical emergencies or behavioral health de-escalations.
Candidates must be able to successfully pass an annual physical assessment including running 1320 feet in 4 minutes and climbing 8 flights of stairs while carrying a fire extinguisher.

Key Requirements
1 year experience in security, law enforcement, military, or EMS
Valid Georgia driver's license with insurable record
Marcus Crisis Prevention Program (MCPP) within 6 months
IAHSS basic certification within 6 months
Heartsaver or BLS certification within 3 months
MASADA defensive tactical training within 9 months
