Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Infant/Toddler CDA certification within 6 months
  • First Aid and CPR certifications required
  • Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards
  • Experience with DFPS Child Care licensing regulations
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds and physical play
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving history

Nice-to-have

  • 2 years related experience in Early Head Start
  • Bilingual Spanish speaker preferred
  • Current or former Head Start employee preference
  • Familiarity with Frog Street Infants & Toddlers curriculum
  • Experience with IDEA Part C service coordination
  • Strong communication skills with diverse families

Key Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 2 years Early Head Start experience (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Pass criminal background check
  • Pass health examination
