The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture is seeking a Program Associate to support field and research activities, data management, and educational outreach related to agriculture. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, experience in agronomic research, and strong communication skills

Job Summary

  • The Program Associate will assist with the design, establishment, and management of research trials, collect and process soil and plant data, and support the installation and maintenance of monitoring equipment.
  • Responsibilities include organizing, cleaning, and managing agronomic datasets, conducting data entry and preliminary analysis, and assisting with data visualization for reports.
  • The role involves assisting in developing Extension materials, supporting the preparation of reports, and coordinating field days, workshops, and hands-on trainings.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Soil Science, Crop Science, or related field plus three (3) years of relevant experience OR a related Master's degree
  • Experience conducting field-based agronomic research
  • Experience collecting and processing soil and plant samples
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
