The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and their family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team.
The James Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is responsible for delivering evidence‑based, high‑quality post‑operative and post‑procedural nursing care to oncology and surgical patients transitioning from anesthesia.
The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient’s involvement in their own plan of care, and reducing the length of hospitalization.
