Job Summary

  • The ALS Paramedic provides professional care through high-quality assessment, triage / treatment to assess the nature and extent of a patient’s illness / injury and prioritize the needed care.
  • The Paramedic must have strong clinical knowledge and skills necessary to care for patients of all ages with a diverse range of medical needs (infants – geriatric) operating specialized medical equipment and utilizing advanced skills.

Key Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED
  • Accredited EMT-Paramedic training program
  • North Carolina Paramedic certification
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS and PALS certification
  • Two (2) years clinical paramedic experience
  • One (1) year active field pre-hospital experience
  • Advocate Health approved driving course
  • Valid driver's license
  • Insurable by Advocate Health insurance
