The Senior Advisor, Resource Adequacy & Sector Evolution plays a key role in helping the IESO anticipate and address challenges in procuring the resources needed to meet future electricity demand.
This position combines a forward-looking view with ongoing analysis of impacts and trends, to design and run procurements that are practical, efficient, and adaptable to support sector evolution.
The IESO is committed to ensuring Ontario’s electricity system meets the province’s needs today and into the future.

Key Requirements
8-10 years of relevant work experience
4-year University Degree in engineering or business
Understanding of electricity resource procurement design and execution
Demonstrated ability to conduct technical, financial, and risk analysis
Solid understanding of electricity generation, transmission and distribution, energy economics, and regulated power markets
