Job Summary

  • The role is responsible for defining, implementing, and continuously improving paint shop processes at Factory ZERO to support safe, high-quality, and efficient vehicle production.
  • Candidates must possess proven technical skills in automotive paint shop operations including PT/ED, Sealer, Topcoat, and Paint Mix Room areas.
  • This position requires frequent interaction with hourly employees, production teams, and union leadership while driving improvements in safety, quality, throughput, cost, and energy usage.

Must-have

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 3-5 years experience
  • 1-3 years automotive manufacturing experience with degree
  • Knowledge of PT/ED Sealer Topcoat Paint Mix Room
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook
  • Comfortable supervising hourly employees and coordinating work

Nice-to-have

  • Dürr and/or Fanuc paint robot programming experience
  • Strong leadership interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools like Power BI
  • Understanding of Global Manufacturing System GMS lean principles
  • Experience with PFMEA control plan development layered audits
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis 5-Why 8D Kaizen methodologies

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Electrical Chemical Manufacturing Engineering OR 3-5 years relevant experience
  • 1-3 years automotive manufacturing experience (with degree) or 3-5 years (without degree)
  • US work authorization required; no immigration sponsorship provided
  • Willingness to work rotating shift schedules and overtime including weekends
