Key Requirements

  • 5 years of security or public safety experience
  • Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) certification within 2 years
  • Illinois Firearm Control Card (FCC) or FOID/CCW license
  • Certified in Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER) use within 90 days
  • Stop the Bleed Certification within 1 year
  • State of Illinois 20-hour Basic Security Officer course
  • Valid driver's license
