** Ameritrack LLC is seeking a Write-up Inspector in Muscatine, IA, responsible for the inspection, evaluation, and documentation of repairs for tank cars. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in AAR and FRA regulations and possess mechanical aptitude for thorough inspections and accurate estimations. **

Job Summary

  • This position is responsible for the inspection, researching, evaluation, and estimation of repairs in addition to the proper coding of and preparation of Billing Repair Card estimates & documentation required to maintain company, lessee, and customer fleets.
  • The incumbent must be trained in various inspection processes per FRA regulations and possess a working knowledge of current Fleet Repair Standards, AAR & FRA regulations.
  • The incumbent works to meet internal and external customer expectations at all times by fully applying oneself to the task involved, preventing errors, and developing and implementing personal quality improvement projects.

Key Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 3 – 5 years’ relevant work experience
