This role leads a global electrical engineering organization responsible for developing embedded hardware and software for Thermo Fisher's cold storage and cryogenic product portfolio.
The successful candidate will partner closely with Product Management, Quality, and Regulatory teams to ensure all designs meet strict performance, safety, and regulatory expectations throughout the product lifecycle.
You will champion modern embedded software development practices using tools like Confluence, Jira, and Git while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
5+ years leading embedded controls teams
3+ years hands-on embedded control development
Experience with regulated product compliance (FDA, UL, IEC)
Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems
PCBA development and design for manufacturability experience
Nice-to-have
Qt framework experience highly desired
IoT platforms and cloud connectivity knowledge
Lean / PPI methodologies familiarity
Strong mentorship and coaching capabilities
Global team management across North America and India
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
Master's degree preferred
US work authorization required for onsite Marietta OH role
5+ years leadership experience in embedded controls
