Job Summary
The Assembly Quality Engineer will be a key member of the team developing and industrializing next-generation battery cells at General Motors’ Battery Cell Development Center (BCDC).
This role is responsible for establishing and improving quality systems for battery assemblies, with a strong focus on internal alignments, structural integrity, and electrical robustness.
You will collaborate closely with process engineering, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, and suppliers to define critical quality requirements, develop quality controls, and drive structured problem solving from lab to pilot builds through full line scale-up.
