Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and heat transfer principles
  • Experience leading complex CFD analysis using ANSYS Fluent or Star-CCM+
  • Experience with 1D system analysis tools such as Siemens Flomaster
  • Ability to develop and apply new analysis methods including VVUQ
  • Degree-qualified to Master's level in Engineering or Physics

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of nuclear or high-integrity industries
  • Experience scoping analysis for safety-case requirements
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and oversee supply-chain partners
  • Background in aerospace, energy, defense, oil & gas, or research
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership

Key Requirements

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) or working towards chartership
  • Baseline Personnel Security Standard clearance required
  • Satisfactory DBS check and financial probity check required
