  • Serves as the key point of contact for patients, their families’ and unit staff in order to meet patient food needs during their hospital stay.
  • This includes making meal selections, delivering meals/snacks and clarifying food/meal options available based upon patient’s diet order.
  • Staff members must be able to prioritize competing time demands to complete work– juggle menu selections, completed meal pickup and delivery.
