This position oversees the entire department's education system while ensuring all surgical instruments are properly decontaminated, sterilized, and tracked.
The role requires teaching, training, orienting, and precepting students and new Sterile Processing Department technicians on correct safety practices.

Must-have
HSPA Central Processing Certification
Surgical instrument decontamination and sterilization
Biological and chemical sterilization testing
Teaching and precepting new SPD techs
Sterile processing software management
Inventory management of medical supplies
Nice-to-have
Experience with CER or CIS certification
Knowledge of orthopedic neuro and vascular procedures
Strong vendor relationship management skills
Ability to work overtime and float departments
Proficiency in troubleshooting CP equipment
Key Requirements
HSPA Central Processing Certification required
Demonstrated experience as a Sterile Processing Technician
CER or CIS certification preferred
2 years of sterile processing experience preferred
