Job Summary The Network and System Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, maintenance, security, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, firewalls, and related systems. The role supports both internal and customer-facing environments, ensuring system reliability, security compliance, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure & SystemsManagement Perform installation, migration, administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of servers and IT systems. Design, install, configure, and maintain servers, network devices, and firewall systems. Proactively monitor and maintain system, network, and security infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability. Apply operating system updates, patches, security fixes, and configuration changes. Conduct system health checks, hardening activities, and remediation works. Network & Security Administration Administer and support enterprise network and security environments, including data centre Maintain perimeter security systems such as firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and security hardening requirements. Manage and troubleshoot TCP/IP networking, VPN connectivity, switches, routing, and related network services. Incident Management &Troubleshooting Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve system, application, hardware, software, security, and network-related issues both remotely and on-site. Investigate incidents through system and network logs and identify root causes and preventive measures. Document incident reports and maintain records of system and network performance. Provide first and second-level technical support and coordinate issue resolution with vendors and internal stakeholders.
