Job Summary

  • The Department of Ophthalmology seeks a Postdoctoral Scholar to conduct mentored research focused on understanding mechanisms that contribute to glaucoma-related optic nerve/retinal injury and developing translational approaches to assess and preserve visual function.
  • This position works to better understand the pathology of retinal degenerative diseases using in-vitro and in-vivo models through the analysis of tissue structure, the generation of new databases, and the mining of existing databases.
  • Responsibilities include implementing rigorous research documentation, acquiring and analyzing ophthalmic data, designing and executing experiments, preparing manuscripts, and contributing to proposal development.
