Key Requirements
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
Special Education Certified
Knowledge of state and Federal Special Education law
Knowledge of the ARD process
Knowledge of disabilities and the impact on children
Skilled in developing effective and compliant IEPs
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Skilled in working effectively under timelines
Skilled in maintaining accurate and compliant student records
Skilled in developing and maintaining effective working relationships
Skilled in Microsoft Office (including MS Excel) and web applications
Knowledge of state testing requirements and procedures (EOC/STARR)
