  • Operates all mammographic equipment and can select and modify technical factors as needed, setting equipment to optimize image quality with the lowest possible dose.
  • Prepares and positions patients for exams, collimate/shields as advisable, and provides protection to patients in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards.
  • Obtains accurate patient history, marks lesions with B.B. and labels drawings correctly, and instructs patients on American Cancer Society Guidelines for screening mammography.
