Job Summary

  • Perform cell, module and pack level Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis to optimize thermal performance of GM’s Battery Systems under normal and abuse conditions.
  • Conceptualize and develop a wide variety of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models to directly impact design and offset hardware testing.
  • This position enables a hybrid work model, allowing employees to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired, with an expectation to be onsite every other week.

  • Proficient with STAR-CCM+ or Simerics-MP+ CFD software
  • Experience with CFD optimization tools
  • Experience with test to model correlation
  • Experience with programming in Java, Python or equivalent languages
  • Linux experience in distributed computing environments
