The Arkansas Research and Education Optical Network (ARE-ON) is seeking a Director of Network Services to lead operational management of its network services and IT systems. This position is remote within the state of Arkansas and requires extensive experience in network engineering, as well as strong leadership skills.

Job Summary
The Director of Network Services provides operational leadership for ARE-ON’s backbone network, member connectivity, office/administrative IT systems, and associated services.
This role owns day-to-day service reliability, NOC/Helpdesk operations, incident response, inventory and documentation, and the resilience of facilities, power systems, and outside plant (fiber).
