The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a temporary Proton Radiation Therapist responsible for administering radiation treatments under the supervision of a Clinical Operations Director. Job Summary

  • The Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering, simulating and recording radiation treatment set-ups to patients as prescribed by a radiation oncologist.
  • Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Operations Director, is responsible for radiation therapy procedures, dose calculations, chart, and routine consistency checks on the treatment machine and simulator during a treatment day, five days a week.

Key Requirements

  • Associate's degree in radiation therapy OR Bachelor's degree in radiation therapy
  • Two (2) years of experience in a healthcare environment
  • Current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists as a radiation therapist
  • Current Licensure as a Radiation Therapist with the Arkansas Department of Health
  • Current BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of employment
