  • This position may occasionally be called on to provide reports for other newscasts.
  • Ability to ad lib during both breaking news situations, and for lighter talk segments.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Meteorology, Mass Communications with demonstrated weather experience or equivalent experience as a television weather caster
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of WSI/IBM weather software in a medium to large television market
  • Experience utilizing National Weather Service data in forecasts
  • Demonstrated on air weather presentation skills
  • Ability to conduct remote and in-studio guest segments/interviews
