Penn State Golf Courses is seeking a part-time Clinical Lab Assistant (Phlebotomist) to perform specimen collection and processing, and conduct waived laboratory testing. The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma and phlebotomy experience, with a commitment to patient care and safety

Job Summary

  • The basic functions of the laboratory assistant are to accurately collect and process appropriate patient samples by venipuncture for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease and to conduct Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) waived medical laboratory testing.
  • Job Responsibilities include performing processing of specimens, sample collection, waived testing, operating standard laboratory equipment, reviewing and processing orders for laboratory testing for patients.
  • This is a part-time position that may work up to 24 hours per week.
