SumUp is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for its Fiscalization team in Warsaw, Poland, to help ensure compliance of its Point-of-Sale (POS) solutions across various European countries. The ideal candidate should have over five years of backend engineering experience, particularly with Java and/or Kotlin, and a strong understanding of system architecture and distributed systems

Job Summary

  • You will build and maintain fiscal compliance solutions to enable SumUp's expansion across Italy, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, Austria, and other European markets.
  • The role involves developing integrations with third-party services for receipt fiscalization and regulatory reporting systems within a complex POS ecosystem.
  • Candidates will receive enrollment onto the VSOP program to own a stake in SumUp's future success along with generous time off and fitness support.
