Key Requirements

  • PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree
  • 12+ years drug discovery experience
  • 12+ years research experience in metabolic diseases & obesity
  • Industry R&D experience required
  • Experience advancing drug discovery programs
  • Experience overseeing research projects
  • Broad knowledge of in vitro and in vivo models
  • Solid understanding of drug discovery and clinical development
  • Working knowledge of biomarker discovery, translational research, data science, and human genetics
  • Exceptional partnering and team skills
  • Record of leading and supporting collaborative teams
  • Excellent track record of mentorship
  • Proficient in innovative technologies for preclinical research
  • Ability to communicate effectively with broad stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of competitive landscapes
  • Significant experience in due diligence for external assets
