Key Requirements

  • 1 year Veterinary Technician Experience (Preferred)
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Dependable, organized, and self-motivated
  • Able to efficiently perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and analyze fecal samples
  • Able to perform blood work, position and acquire radiographs, give injectable and oral medications, drug dose calculations, and be well versed in critical care medicine
  • Understand fluid therapy and how to administer anesthesia and oxygen therapy
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb
  • Manipulate (lift, carry, and move) up to 50 pounds
  • Able to stay on task and work energetically for the entire shift, sometimes exceeding 12 hours per day
