Job Summary

  • The primary purpose of this job is to assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of nursing supervision and in accordance with facility policies and state requirements.
  • Essential duties include accurately preparing, administering, and documenting oral and topical medications, verifying medication accuracy, and following procedures for medication destruction and labeling.
  • The role requires maintaining a friendly, productive working relationship with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists, and participating in quality assurance programs to improve medication processes.
