Supports the National Science Foundation managed United States Antarctic Program as part of the Antarctic Support Contract (ASC).
Primary responsibility includes intensive weather reporting on flight days, observing, recording, and reporting surface weather conditions following Federal Meteorological Handbook (FMH1-b) standards.
Duties extend to cargo responsibilities, fuel operations, mechanical assistance, and science support in remote Antarctic environments.

Key Requirements
High School diploma or GED
3+ years combined experience
1 year weather observation (METAR) experience
Valid Driver's License
Wilderness First Responder Certification (Preferred)
Weather Observer Training (Preferred)
Federal Meteorological Handbook (FMH1-b) experience (Preferred)
Rawinsonde Balloon experience (Preferred)
