The Machine Operator is responsible for operating machine tools, including locating parts/fixtures, performing first piece inspections, and operating at least one machine tool such as a CNC lathe or machining center.
Key responsibilities include checking feeds and speeds, maintaining close tolerances, sharpening tooling, detecting defective material, lubricating and cleaning equipment, and coordinating with supervisors.
