Job Summary
Perform layout evaluation on gages, parts, tools, fixtures, and research requests within the Columbus Forge Metrology Department for Blades and Disks.
Calibrate a wide variety of gages from simple hand tools to complex part specific gages, requiring advanced knowledge of mathematics and blueprint reading.
This is an onsite role with a specific AWW shift schedule of Friday - Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Apply higher-level mathematics
Advanced blueprint reading
Use multiple layout tools daily
Work to tolerances of +/- 0.0002
Knowledge of sine plates, angle plates, Jo blocks, height stands and Cadillac gages
Familiarity with common machine shop measuring devices
Nice-to-have
Experience with Solid Works, NX, or CAD systems
Previous calibration experience
Metrology experience
Key Requirements
HS Diploma or GED
1+ Year of related work experience or vocational training
