Job Summary

  • Lead the team and processes, planning and distributing activities to ensure necessary material and human resources, supporting professional development of employees, as well as providing technical support for the execution of tasks and activities necessary to meet the quality and safety guarantee criteria for raw materials, processes and finished products, with a focus on food microbiology.
  • Responsible for leading the project agenda related to new products, product renewal, engineering, regulatory compliance, and productivity in the Quality area.
  • Participate in project plans related to other areas of the factory and the company: Safety, Environment, Health, Production, KHMS, Logistics, Engineering, Human Resources, R&D, Maintenance, and Global Quality Programs of KHC.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology or related fields
  • Active registration with relevant professional councils
  • Experience in Quality and Food Safety, Risk Assessment, Quality Assurance, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Food Safety Management Systems (e.g., FSSC 22000)
  • Intermediate-advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
  • HACCP; FMEA; QRMP; KHMS knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of Quality Tools and Root Cause Analysis
  • Post-graduation
  • Advanced/fluent English/Spanish
  • FSSC 22000 auditor certification
  • Knowledge of ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025:2017
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, Food Microbiology, Thermal Processes, Hygienic Design, Applicable Food Legislation
  • Basic knowledge of Power BI and Dashboards
  • Knowledge of Quality Audits – GSFI International Standards and Schemes; Crisis Management; SAP, LIMS
  • Direct and indirect team leadership experience
  • Shop floor/Quality operations experience
