Canonical is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Ceph and Distributed Storage to join their Cloud Engineering team, working remotely in the Americas or EMEA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for open-source technology and experience with Python and Ceph, contributing to the development of scalable software solutions

Job Summary

  • As part of Cloud Engineering, you’ll be building modelling software to drive systems such as OpenStack, Ceph, and Kubernetes with a focus on distributed storage and Ceph.
  • You will need to work well in a globally distributed context, being mindful of the dynamics of the open source ecosystem and the needs of large, innovative organizations.
  • We offer a distributed work environment with twice-yearly team sprints in person, a personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year, and annual compensation reviews.
