Magellan Health is seeking a Military Family Life Counselor to provide behavioral counseling services to children of military service members and their families at Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will possess an independent counseling license and have experience working with children and youth, along with a strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by military families

Job Summary

  • This position provides the full breadth of Child and Youth Behavioral (CYB) counseling services to children of all ages of military service members and their families.
  • Services include non-medical counseling, training/health and wellness presentations, consultation with parents, and consultation to installation command.
  • Counselors will be assigned to child development centers, youth programs, summer camps, and on-demand assignments, working closely with installation Points of Contact (POC).

Key Requirements

  • Licensed at the independent level (LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, Psychologist)

  • Two years post-license clinical experience
  • Intermediate technology and software competencies
  • Ability to prove US Citizenship
  • Pass Child National Agency Check and Inquiries (CNACI) Clearance
  • Valid U.S. state vehicle operator’s license
