Job Summary

  • The position will conduct laboratory research on metallic and ceramic environmental barrier coatings applied to ceramic matrix composites using plasma spray technology.
  • Responsibilities include literature review, experimental design, processing of EBCs, mechanical and thermal testing, and metallurgical and microstructural characterization using optical and electron microscopy techniques.
  • The successful candidate will report to Dr. Rizhi Wang within the Department of Materials Engineering at UBC.
