Job Summary

• As a Lead Protections System Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering the overall technical solution that meets customer Requirements, including customer requirements capture and analysis, definition of Protection strategy for a HVDC project and Protection design for substations.
• You will deliver power flow calculation, short-circuit analysis, protection, and instrumentation studies, review and support Single Line diagrams and schematics creation for Protections scope, and deliver calculation note for the complete protection system.
• The role offers working in an international team which is part of global Engineering HVDC Centre of Excellence within Grid Integration based in Stafford, with a key role in a dynamic, international working environment with a large degree of flexibility of work agreements.

• Minimum 15 years experience in Protections development
• Degree in Electronics/Electrical engineering
• Working experience with IED
• Knowledge about norms, standards, and technologies of Protections design
• Solid experience in Power Systems analysis tools
