Job Summary

  • DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations is looking to hire a Steel Control Technician to work from our Port of Alexandria at our Manufacturing Facility.
  • The Steel Control Technician assists the Steel Control Lead and/or the team members with the QA, QC, and Kitting of materials between the Factory Built Substation (FBS) Assembly Teams and/or Welding Teams and Steel laydown region to ensure expedited production.
  • The Steel Control Technician performs skilled work such as checking critical dimensions on incoming steel, conducting quality checks on other various vendor products, reading blueprints/drawings, as well as operating the Company’s machinery.
