Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Engineer Supplier Quality in Mesa, Arizona, responsible for leading quality activities for mechanical and electrical components suppliers. Job Summary

  • Responsible for multiple component commodities, including RCCA review, approval, and vetting for all NC’s written against suppliers.
  • Leads audits, continuous improvement activities, and periodic performance reviews at component suppliers, and resolves issues with suppliers arising out of Receiving Inspection.
  • Assures supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance, and interfaces directly with supplier personnel.

  • IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-600 Standards command knowledge
  • Six Sigma Green or Black belt certification
  • ASQ Quality Engineer Certification (CQE)

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related STEM field
  • 5+ years of quality engineering experience
  • Supplier quality engineering experience
  • Excellent command of the 8D process
  • Proficient in GD&T
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001
  • Solid Understanding of DFMEA and PFMEA
