The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a licensed Mental Health Therapist to join their Bipolar Disorder Center within the Department of Psychiatry. This position, which is fully remote and expected to continue until July 2026, requires the candidate to provide clinical assessments and evidence-based therapy for individuals with bipolar disorder
Job Summary
The position will join our growing multi-disciplinary team to conduct behavioral and mental health assessments, treatment planning, brief interventions, evidence-based psychotherapy, coordination of care, interdisciplinary team consultation as needed, and research-related activities in several studies funded by NIH, foundations, and industry partners.
The Mental Health Therapist provides assessment, triage and treatment to individuals diagnosed with bipolar disorder who may also have co-occurring substance use disorders, other co-morbid psychiatric disorders and/or chronic health conditions using a time-limited, evidence-based approach.
This position is temporary through July 30, 2026, with renewal contingent upon funding availability, work performance, and progress toward project goals.
