Job Summary
The Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process.
This role involves caring for adult Stroke, Neurosurgery, and Neurology high acuity patients on a 23-bed Neuroscience step-down unit with advanced bedside monitoring capabilities.
Staffing ratios are maintained at 1:3 or 1:4 depending on acuity and experience, supported by Patient Care Technicians and Unit Secretaries.

Must-have
Neuroscience stepdown unit experience
NIHSS and ACLS certification required
1:3 or 1:4 patient staffing ratio
Bedside monitoring of arterial lines
Rotating shift work including weekends
Nice-to-have
SCRN and CNRN certification goals
Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred
Fast paced high functioning unit culture

Key Requirements
South Carolina RN Licensure or compact state license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum one year of registered nurse work experience
Enrollment in BSN program within two years if hired with Associate/Diploma degree
Successful completion of BSN degree within four years of hire
