Job Summary

  • You will administer and maintain Red Hat OpenShift platforms and Linux environments that underpin mission-critical applications for NASA's International Space Station and Artemis lunar exploration program.
  • The role includes automating routine tasks, ensuring system reliability, supporting users and teams, and collaborating with developers and DevOps to integrate OpenShift support with application deployments.

Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Red Hat OpenShift platform administration
  • Linux system administration (RHEL preferred)
  • Ansible automation and configuration management
  • Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
  • GitOps workflows with GitLab
  • Platform troubleshooting and performance monitoring

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in aerospace or government contracting
  • Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana monitoring
  • Background in containerized applications and DevOps
  • AWS cloud familiarity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for space exploration missions

Key Requirements

  • 6+ years systems administration experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven expertise in Red Hat OpenShift administration
  • Proficiency in Linux (RHEL) and Bash scripting
  • Experience with Ansible Automation Platform
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
  • Familiarity with GitOps and GitLab CI/CD workflows
  • U.S. citizenship or eligibility for NASA/government clearances
  • Preferred Red Hat and AWS certifications
